    I hate Chiggers !!

every year they get me ! Were right I'm the middle of hay season so there's no way to avoid them. Sulfer powder on the out side of our pants is working the best so far. Anyone have any good remedies ?

For a remedy I swear by Mentholatum. Smear some on the affected area as needed. http://www.mentholatum.com/ointment.aspx

I just go ahead, break down and cry.
            Afterwards, I accept my fate.

Yeah out land has about 125 acres of hayfield so they are inevitable right now

I got into them bad last Friday helping Clint set a corner post for our fence. They are bad.

You've got the best prevention already in sulphur.

I had always heard that medicated dog collars around your ankles will keep ticks off. May work for chigger, not sure though.

It feels kinda wierd at first, but putting Vaseline on your legs keeps them from being able to get to your skin and bore in. Also make sure to put a good coating of sulfur around your waist line, especially if your shirt is tucked in.

And rub existing bites with mineral spirits when they start itching. It helps a lot.

This is not true!! By the time you feel it the chigger is already gone. It's their feeding tube that itches like he!!
