You can go to TexasKayakfisherman and search for DIYs as well.

Timm, find another hobby man. If Flint Knapper is right about SNAKES, and as little as those boats are, and as dark as the night is and as choppy as a lake is and as bad as mosquito's are on the lake at night and with other boaters drunk and running wide open in their big rigs and have a made a valid point yet??!!

I just gave up riding a very fast motorcycle. I survived. I want to do some night fishing with my friends.

Took this idea off of TKF. I bought a few of the cheap LED flashlights and then cut a small portion of a ping-pong ball off so that it would fit flush on top of the flashlight. Some hot glue and you've got a 360 degree light that will light up the night! Put it down into a piece of PVC and then slip it into the rear rod holder. Works great and cheap.

360 pelican light (its orange plastic) in the boating department and not too expensive. take it to hardware store with you buy the smallest pvc ittl almost fit into...open the pvc just enough with a dremel that you can shove it down into it....hard to push and hard to come out, throw it in a rod holder and be done with it.

You can make a light deflector out of coffee can that will keep the light pointed up and not attract serpents near as bad

Would someone mind posting pics of my light if I send them via text?

I used 1/2 inch PVC with one of those lanterns. It fits in a scupper hole

The last place I`m going to be at night is in my Kayak. I like to "see" my gators.
