Zentners Daughters in Angelo was the very best until I tried these two little hole in tha wall joints one in Stanton Tx and the other in Andrews Tx. Ive had them all over Texas and then some but My pick would be these two places that I cant remember the names. Just know how to get there.

Mel's cafe in tomball has the best I've ever had.

Wife and I hit New York Hill in Thurber yesterday on the way home. I'd put that CFS right with or above Mary's, and the sides were superior. Blair had chicken fried chicken and she said it was awesome too. I won't be stopping at Mary's anymore...NYH wasn't as crowded and every bit as good or better....plus it's on the highway with plenty of parking.

But the best in Texas is in my momma's kitchen, and that is the trufe!

I've been tellin people to forget Marys and go to NY hill for years, everything is good.

T-Bone Tom's in Kemah or Roosters in Bay Town. Berry Burger Barn in Pasadena was my all time favorite. They sold it and turned it into a dam Japanese joint now.

Hermann Sons in Hondo is known for their pepper steak, but the chicken fry is pretty darn good too. And Clear Springs outside of New Braunfels.

Second that

George's (Waco), Mary's (Strawn), Fred's (Fort Worth) are all my top picks.

But my #1 favorite is Bill & Rosa's in D'Hanis, TX. I am not for sure if it is even open anymore.

Bill and Rosa's is amazing, and I have eaten CFS all over the state. Billy's cheesy is a plate of mana.
