Brook's Place in Cypress is literally 1 mile from me and I've never been there. It's a trailer that they sell BBQ out of, might have to pick some up soon.

It's all too expensive, but Coopers is WAY overrated.

I have become a fan of Stanley's in Tyler. Surprised wrights in mexia didn't make it.

Glad to see Stanley's in Tyler made it. Best ribs I've had in a long time.

LOL, what was said above is correct. Everybody likes different stuff, I have never liked Stanley's. I had to send this list to my friend in the office, she drives about 25 miles one way just to eat there.
I like Pat Gee's. Texas Monthly would have to ask someone around that area to find them!

Funny thing is, Pecan Lodge smokes everything with mesquite.

I have no idea why they went one direction with the name and another with the firebox.

But I'm not complaining. I'm happy I don't have to drive to central Texas for good Q.

Can't wait to see who made the top 4 and all the gritching that will surely follow!

Hmmmmm, Black's has never been ahead of Smitty's on this list.

My bet the top 4 will be Snow's, Franklin, J Mueller and Kruez. Darkhorse Hays County.

I am partial to Sonny Bryan's old location on Inwood and also Marshalls in Farmers Branch.

I grew up hunting south of Llano and hate to here Cooper's is not the same.

The newer Cooper's locations in Junction and such are not as good but still doable!

Apparently Lockhart is closing the gap pretty quickly.

While I am pretty sure he was making a joke......there is nothing yankee about salsa.

I don't put salsa on "my bbq".....unless it's in a tortilla....then I would spoon a little on each bite so it doesn't make the tortilla soggy and run all down my arm. It's a south Texas thang.

That is what happened last time when they came to Snow's.. The first three times they showed up there was no BBQ left. Gotta get there early.
