I suggest doing what I did....buy about 750 dollars) worth (original, fat boy and devil), so you have all your bases covered!!
Honestly, color is arguable overrated...saying that it's all about water clarity for me and I have honestly caught fish on every color I own. If it doesn't feel right (mean I am lacking confidence), I just change.Proud member since 1999

I like the dayglo fatboy sinker. I throw it out count to 5 and work it just like a topwater for about 10 twitches and let it sink on a 5 count again, repeat. Color is a preference thing. I really like the devils also. Cold weather I slow it down but the way I work it is similar. Also, dont overlook the maniac mullet. Along the rocks on the revetment walls this can be deadly, keep a loose drag!!

It is topwater season though!! Save those corkies for cooler weather!

Then Mr. Brown retired just south of Lake Charles, La. He started making more and continues to call them Corkys but the new ones have swivels in the middle of their back. You oughta see these, I'll try to find some pictures.

The broken backs are killer but I prefer the original. Color is strictly based on water color/clarity. The fatboy is great when casting into a stiff north wind. I am definitely disappointed in the mirrolure corky, hooks bend/break and after a good bite it is not easy to get the bait to swim right. Mr. Brown had a good thing going till mass production took over.
