I bought the bow new in Feb. of this year. And as of a few days ago all has been good. The bow now has a "slapping" noise coming from it upon release. Headed down to Triple Edge to let them take a look! I hope its just a tuning issue but I doubt it. I'll keep y'all updated....

I have seen several folks who have dropaways have their rest slap the shelf on release. Its not apparent early until the rest really breaks in and then it becomes louder. It can be solved with a shelf pad. I'm not saying it is your problem for sure but it is a cheap place to start...

The Spyders do have a problem with QADs and Ripcords hitting the shelf because of the way they are designed, since the shelves are curved and have a big rubber thing on it. The rest may just need to be tilted slightly upwards.. I would not recommend taking the rubber part off, I here it's a pain in the butt. And, apparently Hoyt doesn't sell replacement pads separately in case you ever wanted to put it back on..
