What wrong with this buck

      Well so far he is looking like he gonna be a decent buck he is a lot bigger than all the other bucks besides the one I am thinking is moby. We will see if he will be put on the hit list

        This def could be it as well but I have never seen this buck before and he has been at my spot a 6 times the last few days

            My first guess too. I killed a spike a number of years ago that had a pretty good "patch" missing out of the top of his back. Turns our my uncle had shot at him and nicked him pretty good but didn't put him down.

                I'd put him down on the ole hit list, and pull the pin on him opening morning to break the ice.

                              ya he got shot 2011 season by a first time hunter, thought he died but nope saw him in the same area last season finished him off.

                                the pedicles/process were blown out the vertebral body was intact which is why he didn't die the young lady shot him with a.243 wasn't low enough shot to damage the vertebra but I always wondered how we found bone/meat and lots of blood but couldn't find him for 500yrds and creek bottom.
