I aint married and prolly never will be as women don't like me too much lol, but I would rather stick with the original than upgrade. to me the only time to upgrade would be when you upgrade aka change wives or husbands

We are upgrading Kendra's for our 25th anniversay next year. We will work with the original to make the upgrade.

about to upgrade my wifes as well, the ring isn't the substance of your relationship

Hmm... We upgraded the stone in my wife's engagement ring on our 20th anniversary but the wedding band part is the same. My ring is still the same one and it looks just like the day we got married. When we came home from the honeymoon I handed it to her and told her to put it away in a safe place. I was working in the electrical field then and no jewelry was allowed, gold is a very good conductor. I left the electrical field about 5 years later but that ring has never left her jewelry box. Well except once per year on our anniversary, 26 times and counting!

My wife has upgraded once, heck I was a poor boy when we married and she wore what I could afford. Somewhere around the 25 mark we got her one a lot nicer. Her old one is still in her jewelry box. I have upgraded once, lost the first one riding my dirt bike in the woods. Spent about 3 hours on my hands and knees looking for it, it was special to me.

                  yup. us to.

lost mine in the frio river.

still want to go no wedding ring, just her name tattoo'd like a ring.

been my idea since she started talking about marriage 9 years ago.

shes still not convinced. I may just go do it one day (dont like wearing rings).

Same here, except it's two times in 10 years. Still have my original one I wear on a daily basis to work and on regular weekends, and a cheap stainless one I wear when hunting and fishing.

                        Great point!

They could renew their vowels with new rings. That would be cool too.

I don't ever seeing to get a different one for me. My wife however wanted a different one because the diamond always tore up her plastic gloves (work) so I got her some emerald cut diamonds recessed. She still wears the original when she dresses up. I was POOR then and the ring is really nothing special. I really think that its admirable that regardless of how "well to do" you are the simple things still fulfill you, but Hey, everyone's different.

If he's like me, I doubt he would care. Buy Juuuust in case...

                              Here's what you do...

                              1. Buy the new ring
                              2. Sell the old ring
                              3. Buy your husband the gun hes been talking about for a while (you know the one)
                              4. Everyone goes to sleep happy happy happy
