Check out Leonard's bakery for a malasada. On your way out to the north shore stop by dole, if for nothing else but to get a pineapple whip.

Waikiki is expensive, but if you get off the beach a few streets and go where the locals go, you can find great food for a lot less.

Your right were starting to branch out and find the better places off the main areas

If you get a chance, go to the big island and check out the volcano. Way cool.

There is a lot I want see but working 13 on 1 off on nights it's hard to find time to go places

Look up uncle Si and go see the Mayan ruins while you are there

Pearl Harbor cannot be done in one day, at least I don't think so.

Diamond Head is a neat hike.

If you have the time, rent a car, and take the road around the island. It's pretty darn cool. We saw all kinds of neat stuff; stopped at some art galleries, a macadamia plantation, some neat roadside restaurants and really great people.

Dole is a bust, it's basically just a big gift shop it seems.

The Magnum PI house is really run down, it's kind of sad.

Honolulu (the city) was my least favorite part of the trip. We stayed in Waimanalo, and it was really cool.

Dole was boring except for the Dole Whip. :-). The trip around the island was fun. We ate at two of the Man Vs Food places visited. Great food

Came over to Hawaii to work a shutdown at Chevron . first tourist thing I'm going to do is visit Pearl Harbor I've got to see it to pay respects.

Make sure you visit the Punch Bowl.

Pearl harbor for sure.My dad stayed a short time before serving in Guadalcanal campaign and my son honeymooned there to visit Pearl Harbor where his grandpa was...have best friends in Wahiawa and if you want to go to the local shops, much cheaper for same souvenirs there as in Waikiki ,Northshore for sure do not miss that if you can!Wish we could be there<><
