Yes they are very good to eat. You just gotta be careful to not pick false morels...not a good thing.

Man those look good. We got a ton of mushrooms on our place right now just not to familiar with which ones are edible. Hate to pick some and bring them home to eat and we all end up on a magic carpet ride or dead.

My uncle flat lined from the wrong mushrooms. Fortunately, they were able to bring him back. Both he and his GF down on the mat but revived. Problem was they had both grown up scouting mushrooms.

Awesome haul! This is going to be a great year for morels in the Midwest. My friend found 30 in ohio on Thursday. My total finds for texas this year was 27, it was to dry

Growing up in Wyoming we picked morels for extra cash and we filled half the freezer with them. They're the best tasting mushrooms on the planet! Sauté some with a little butter and splash in a little sweet white wine and pour that over a moose steak or elk backstrap and you'll be in heaven. If ONLY they grew here in Texas, I'd be in heaven! Lol!

I picked chantrelles, hedgehog and King Boletes when I lived in Alaska. Awesome!
