There enough water in it as of now to make a decent kayaking trip you think?

No clue, I haven't been in a few years.

Call the river rv park outside of mason and they can tell you.

Neches River. For an east Texas River it is suprisingly clear and there are lots of great sandbars to camp on. It is in the Big Thicket Preserve so there is almost no developement along the river.

We went from FM 1013 bridge to Hwy 96 bridge. It is about 42 miles and it took us from noon Friday to noon Sunday. We had a pretty good head wind so we might have been able to do it faster with less wind.

I've done the neches and the Sabine. We did the Sabine from south of Toledo bend to 54 miles south. Both were remote but the Sabine was better for me.

We did the same potion of the neches as Ken. Took us the same amount off time. We had one kayak and one canoe. My last canoe trip, kayaks only from now on.

There is a lake in Arkansas that is mostly owned by the Army Corp of Engineers. It it's full off islands and you can camp on any of them. Probably my next trip.

The Devils River is awesome, you wont find another like it in Texas. Have to be shuttled to the river though

The Cossatot river feeds Gillham lake. Great camping and fishing on the lake. In the spring, when they have good rain, the Cossatot rates as high as class 5 whitewater.

Plenty RV camp sites on the lake. Water and power hookups. Corp lake.

Arkansas, about 60 miles north of Texarkana.
