So y'all tell me, what's the deal? Either everybody is working or everybody is milking the heck out of un-employment.

I had someone at a Civil Engineering company (land dev) tell me that they can't find qualified people. They had one person in an interview last week say that they only showed up to get an offer to take back to their current employer so that they could get a counter-offer/raise.

No one is hireing full time in or around Austin. My wife has had 7 jobs in 7 years between her age ( she turns 51 today ) and the Obozo's health plan no one will hire her full time and it is killing my savings. If things don't turn around for us I will be forced to sell my drean home and down size IT JUSTS SUCKS! I have worked hard to get what I have and now I am 2 pay checks away from loseing at all. Anyone in the south Austin San Marcos Buda regin know of any accounting, payroll or office manager jobs please let me know.

We are having the same problems - Getting into a loan officer position in a small town bank can be pretty tough as there is not much turnover, but we have had a recruiter out of DFW trying to find us another loan officer for our bank here in Graham and nobody is interested it seems. I know I jumped at the chance a year and half ago when it came open, not real sure why others are not doing the same now with our new opening
