It's never too late. I started when I was 9, but I've known lots of people that started later in life and did just fine. The key is to spend at least 15 minutes every day playing and practicing, and don't give up just because it's awkward and doesn't make sense at first.

I bought my first guitar at 50.

I'll never be a good guitar player but I entertain myself and get the joy of annoying the wife at the same time.

      Give it a try.

        If you will I will.
Im over 40 and been wanting to try again.
I tried 10 years ago and set it aside. One of my biggest regrets.

That's the difference between people that learned to play and people that didn't - setting it aside or sticking with it (just like shooting a bow or anything else).

Not picking on you, by the way. You'll do great if you pick it back up and spend a few minutes with it every day.

Get on that horse and ride!

Put in the time, and you will get it. You'll find tons of instructional videos on YouTube - basic guitar lessons, and info on specific songs.

I started at 21 and 6 years later I don't do to bad playing and singing. I don't see any reason why you couldn't pick it up fairly quickly if you dedicate the time to do it and stick with it.

Get after it. I'm 30 years old with two kids. Known my way around the major chords for about 10 years and had decent rhythm. Good enough for beer and a camp fire. I started taking lessons a year ago from a guy here in Rockwall. I find that the guitar is where I go when I've had a great day or a tough one, happy or sad, wanna punch the wife or take her to dinner. I love that **** thing now, especially that I'm learning how the fret board works. It's so much fun and alway there when I need it. It will get expensive though just like hunting, so be careful. Play on player!

I just started full throttle a few months ago at age 45. It is kinda slow going but I am getting there. Just finished practicing some speed drills as a matter of fact. You can do it if you want to.

Nope. As long as you got fingers that work you should be good to go...YouTube is your friend!!!

From the little research I have done an electric is the way to go for starters, easier on fingers.

I have difficulty playing the radio, but when I get retired at the end of the year....I might like to try it.
