    Tractor Thoughts?

I have a chance to buy a New Holland 4X4 TC 29 and was wondering if anyone had any experience with them and any thoughts? Thanks

It is 29 hp..... not sure the is enough ponies.

What do you want to do with a tractor?? That is the biggest question

Always buy about 2 sizes bigger than you think you need

Always get a front in loader

Depending on the land get a 4x4.

    I started with a 29 hp then went to a 51 hp now have a 70 hp.

Make sure there is a dealer within a reasonable distance.

I am looking to disc plots, mow, and do minor front end loader work.

Pasture is sandy with a lot of rocks on the ridges and creeks. Out of the 200 acres only around 18 acres is pasture with the remainder being oak trees.

you will find the fel will help a lot....you might go bigger...I started with 18hp...to mow, it was good, but now with 32..and a fel...I do lots of other things...buck forks to move downed trees, move piles..dead critters too...29 may work great for you. Stan just like big stuff, .......and AC and Heat.....and I only have 13 acres....mostly trees
went back and looked at your post....4x4 for sure!....bigger may be the way to go..Stan has a front graple....picks up big limbs and brush.....sweet....if you cross fence and such...a post hole digger.....box or scraper blade to keep the roads flat

If you own the 200 acres that ain't enough tractor.

If is your lease and you just want to maintain 3-4 plots then you should OK barely. Maybe.

What is your recommendation? Would I need bigger implements?

or anything that the pants would cover!

40 PTO, 4x4, with FEL would be min.
