    Gov Perry

The manufacturers may want to come here. But, the issue of getting qualified and skilled people to either relocate or fill the positions may take a while.

I've read that the majority of the employees at these companies have said they are willing to go too. But Texas has lot's of skilled people if they don't.

I'd work there, just to say I worked there.

I'll go out on a limb and say if you work at Magpul, you're probably a 2A proponent and likely to be conservative.

The Rep. Governor of Main had a article this morning in the front section of the Wall Street Journal expressing and inviting Magpul, Colt and Baretta to move to Maine for the same reason. He states that even with Maine being a northern state that have protected the 2nd Amendement, even the Demos in the state Congress. It will be interesting to see waht and where some of these companies may move if anywhere. The Wall Street Journal also had an opinion article stating that they think that everyone of these laws goes against the ruling by the Supreme Court on the 2nd Amendement in the Heller ruling. They basicalyl said that these laws being passed in Conn and CO could and very well may be struck down by a higher court.

I can understand Governor Perry's intentions and agree with them, but it sure seems that there would be a better way to make the public invitation than tweeting or on a Facebook page, doesn't it? Something like having the local news crews in a Texas town with him in front of an empty factory and as he points to it saying, "We welcome your kind of company in Texas". Or getting on an airplane and having a meeting with the president of the company in CT or Kimber in NY.

Good point, and I hope he does do that, but Facebook and Twitter is the "get the word out" medium of this generation.

The public spends way more time on FB and twitter than they do watching the news.

It's a great "guerrilla marketing" tactic. Get the word out, start a buzz and get everyone talking about it. Then follow up with direct pitches to companies.

Agreed. Facebook and piggery social media outlets are a huge part of what got Obama elected. He had a better marketing campaign, especially with the 18-25 crowd. If conservatives want to have the slightest chance moving forward, we will have to take a page from his book, and beat him at his own game.
