Automated Red Light enforcement sucks!

What really sux is when an employee runs a red light, your 350 miles away and get the ticket because the truck is registered in your name....

Happens to us all the time. Ticket will show up at the office from somewhere like Maryland, very frustrating. We try to explain to them what the deal is and what cities to be careful in. Our drivers are like refrigerators though, once the door closes the light goes out.

We backtrack to which driver did it and have them pay the fine, they usually want it done through payroll deduction.

Got one in Conroe last year at the light by Home Depot, turning right on red. I thought there is no way I ran that light or didnt stop before turning! Well....I watched the video, I looked like Starsky and Hutch going around the corner

I'm glad the Houston city council had the backbone to get rid of these things. Hopefully Sugar Land, The Woodlands and Conroe will be next...

In England authorities spend countless hours and money fixing cameras stationed along highways that issue tickets for speeding. Seems many of that country's citizens don't like them either (kinda makes me wonder why you never hear about any of the cameras in the states getting sniped).

Anyway, sorry about your ticket. Hopefully you call their bluff and don't wind up having to pay anything.

I got a duplicate in the mail one day after I got the first one.

At least I thought it was a duplicate, until I checked the date.

As it turned out, I frequently rolled through that particular Baytown right turn on red

Same thing happened to me in Baytown at Garth and Baker. Took a right on red and they said I didn't stop long enough before taking the right. Guess the person watching the videos has a stopwatch.
Thank goodness Baytown and where I live now voted these things out.

We do the same thing. It still affects our DOT rating which is why its so frustrating.

I have never seen one on my CSA score, will have to double check as they are not supposed to be traffic related on the ticket.

Just in case though, I have made it a habit to flip the bird out of the window every time I cross an intersection.

When we had em in lubbock i went through every intersection with both birds flying high.... Definitely made all the intersections i went through less safe as i didn't even have my hands in the wheel...

We finally threw them out in College Station. I don't like being adjudicated by a company with a financial goal as the bottom line.

I hate them also. Heard on a radio talk show a couple of years ago that the Law states that if you are fined, you have the right (by Law) to cross-examine your accuser. Since the camera can't testify, the ticket will normally be thrown out. I haven't tested it...yet.

Every little town in east texas on highway 69 has em from what I can tell. One in Lufkin got me about 2 years ago.

Contest it!!! Send a letter to them! telling them they must by a preponderance of the evidence prove it be you. They can turn you over to collections if you dont answer. I beat mine.

I heard a story about a guy who did that and the police dept. sent him a picture of a pair of handcuffs. He paid the ticket.
