I have heard from a mechanic I know the 6.4 and 6.7 fords you have to take the whole cab off to work on the motor making repairs very expensive...do you know anything about that?

Yes cab comes off.

randal, not calling you out liked it sounded, sorry about that. I was trying to say just because you do those things does not mean it will last. I was one of the ones that was going against the grain when everyone else was complaining until mine cratered at 120,000. Runs like a top now and no problems so far, up to 150,000. Once again, I did not mean to call you out or say what you posted was BS. Probably more 6.0's that lasted than ended up in the shop.

Anybody know how much a 5.9 cummins go for to drop in it?

less than it would cost to fix a 6.0! Found them for about 2500 bucks for a 2002 6BT. To bolt it to a Ford transmission though takes some wiring and adapters from destroked.com they can do just about any aplication.

Buy a new 6.7 to drop in it.

I think that's a good decision. That's what I ultimately decided to do after trying my best to convince myself for a month to buy a 6.0 to replace my '04 F250 with the V10. I just decided I couldn't take the risk.
