Informal Poll: Mechanically Inclined or Not?

Somewhat mechanically inclined, I can fix a few a few things. It didn't take me long to figure out preventative maintenance pays for itself many times over in the long run. Along with trying to purchase quality stuff, not always expensive but quality. IMO most vehicles are made better.

Very mechanical here. Honestly cant think of anything ive attacked and not been able to fix, Build, repair.

Since I posted this thread five years ago I have become a master ASE mechanic. I've been hired by NASA, Chevrolet, Ford, Dodge, Etc to come up with viable solutions to their mechanical problems. I owe all this to TBH.

Not mechanical on my end. I got the creative gene instead i.e. musician, painting, holding things together with duct tape... ya know - the important things in life.

I have been mechanical ever since figuring out that wrenches fit nuts. When everyone is running around in a panic, I am usually the guy analyzing the system and coming up with a viable solution. Every time I see a system that is new to me, I have to figure it out. Can't stand not knowing how something works. I understand how transistors, capacitors, resistors, and diodes work, just don't know how they work in an integrated circuit.

We would get kids out of a/c school, thinking they were ready to be masters, and it amazes me how many don't even know righty tighty lefty loosey. After about a week, most were humbled and if they wanted to learn, paid attention. and opened their minds, and 5 years or so later they could work on almost anything. If they were mechanically inclined and wanted to learn, they got there a sooner.
