Animal control called her today. The dog is under a 10 day quarantine to ensure it doesn't have rabies. I went up to the vets office with the owner today and the dog is current on all shots. He's been fined by the apartment and by the police. His dog is also over the weight limit for the apartment so he has to either find a new place to live or give the dog up.

As for the person that said I don't have a dog in the fight, I doubt you'd feel the same if it was your wife/gf in the situation.

There is no excuse for a dog being out of control like that ! Glad she is OK.

I agree. My dog doesn't need a leash. He stays by my side 100% of the time without one. But ya know what, I still don't take him outside my gate without one. To me it's asking for trouble. That bulldog could be the most well trained, well behaved dog in the world but at the end of the day it's still an animal and stuff like this could happen to anyone.

That would be me...referring to your statement that YOU would pursue further action; point being that you have no legal right to pursue "further "action". Any lawsuit or charges would have to be hers, not yours.

Didn't say anything about legal action. Just further action
