    Need some advice

So my gf calls me just now crying. She has a miniature daschund that I bought her for her college graduation. She loves this dog more than anything. So she calls me crying bc some guy in her apt complex had his bulldog outside without a leash. This bulldog attacks sawyer (her dog) or tries to at least. She grabs sawyer in time but in doing so the bulldog bites her on the arm. Not a serious injury but complete crap none the less. The guy doesn't even apologize. Now. I had been there when it happened The dog would no longer be alive. So what do I do? My common sense tells me to call the management in the morning, file a report, and let them handle it. My anger and pride tells me to go stomp a mud hole in this guys ***.

I understand how you feel, but doing anything but filing a
report with the police is going to stir up a whole nuther
        can of worms.

Just relax and do what you know needs to be done. Call LEO and apartment mgmt. ALthough it might seem like putting a few knots on this guy would fix it, it wll only make things worse with the LEO now talking to you.

                  Calm, cool and collective.

I called the cops, filed a report, and after I cooled down talked to him man to man. He was very apologetic and scared for his dogs well being. I want no harm to come to the dog so long as this is an isolated incident.

Calling leo was best thing, your gf has to be sure the dog is current on all shots. Depending on what city you are in animal control should follow up and make sure the dog is current on shots.

Some cities have "dangerous or vicious dog" laws that require owners of dogs that meet the criteria to jump through a bunch of hoops as long as they own the dog. A PITA for the owners none the less plus they have to pay a registration fee for said dog and in some places pay it annually. I think attacking another dog and biting someone should qualify if your city has one of these ordinances/laws.
