The post man... The stick in the mud... The won't get out of the way man.. Part of the Problem...

Sorry i got caught up in The richmeister character.

Seriously though, if you can't speed up to get around some one that you are tailgating... Or if you get over in the left and mirror the speed of the guy in the right lane, You're the problem.

I don't see any signs that say use your turn signal or dim your headlights but I have arrested people for it.
Ok, Car A is in the left lane and not speeding, but not passing anyone. Car B is in the right lane because car A is in the left and passes him at say 10 to 15 mph ABOVE the post speed limit. Who do you stop?

That's acceptable, but one should wait until the left lane is clear and there is plenty of time to pass before doing it. If the person you want to pass in the right lane is running at or just below the speed limit, bump your cruise down a mph or two until the left lane is clear. Don't jump into the fast lane and run the speed limit, taking 5 minutes to pass the guy going just under it while traffic jams up behind you.

Oh, on the way home today I was behind a truck in the left hand lane the was going under the speed limit. Here is how I fixed it. I turned on my blinker checked my mirrors and blind spot, and gently and only gently turned my wheel to the right and passed him well within the speed limit. I found no road blocks ahead, no spike strips and the didnt even try to shoot out his or my tires. So easy a Texan could do it.

If I have radar, I stop the one speeding. If not, I stop the one that is causing the traffic jam in the first place.

I don't like to stop two cars at once for safety reasons and I am way more interested in getting home than giving citations.

That isn't the problem. The problem is when two vehicles are going the same speed with neither willing to give. The law says that the one on the left needs to move over. The half mile long traffic jam behind them is what causes accidents, not if one is going 5mph over the speed limit or if one or both cars have speedometers that are off a bit and the person that "thinks" he is going the speed limit really isn't.

Thank you. You have answered my question. I will refrain from 5th grade come backs.

I understand, even I don't pull this move.

I make about a 3300 mile trip each summer to Wisconsin, and my favorite part of the trip is when I am about 10 miles past the Texas border and I no longer have to deal with people that think that they need to drive in the left lane any more. And my least favorite part is when I am back within 10 miles of the Texas border and I have to deal with them again. I drove to Ohio this past Christmas and driving through central Ohio I noticed a car driving in the left lane, and I thought to myself want to bet that it was somebody from Texas, and guess what Texas plates on the car, I was shocked I tell you.

While I was in Germany, we were told that passing someone on the right hand side was as bad of an offense as a DUI. Don't do it, we were told.

So, here's my question...........Three cars going down the highway, all with their cruise set to the "speed limit". There is a car in both lanes doing the same speed, pacing each other. A third vehicle comes up behind the car in the right lane, slowly. He moves to the left lane to pass, but the car already in the left lane won't complete the pass. Because, afterall, he has his cruise set to the speed limit. Just like the other two cars and he's dead set that he can't speed to complete the pass and move over. Now you have two cars riding in the left lane, one being hard headed (because he's obeying the speed limit and won't speed to complete the pass) and one who is legitimately trying to pass. And we all know that when 3 different cars set their cruise on the "speed limit", they are not all going to be going exactly the same speed.

Who's being an arse and who gets the ticket?
