If I had been there, I'm fairly certain that either the seller would've gotten more from the store owner for his gun, or else I would've been the new owner of THAT gun.

      Seller beware.

The man behind the counter pays the taxes. He made an introductory offer and the guy just jumped on it right? Did he even buckle at the offer?

I mean I don't trust pawn shops (not sure if this was one) but they are going to offer you the lowest price first every time just like a car dealer (don't like those guys either LOL).

When I had my supermarket a guy better not drive into MY parking lot with a load of watermelons and sell them to a "customer" without my approval. Just the way it works when it's "your business".

Now some may think the gov't is responsible for "the business" but not me.

I'd have asked the guy for 5 minutes to help me with my truck outside if he needs cash really bad, and when outside say either I'd buy it or it's worth a lot more than that.

If the shop owner told me to not come back, I'd shake his hand and say "Etem tibe amiki" which is latin for "same to you, buddy".

The way I read this is that the seller is the one who came up with the $600 price, not the gun shop.
Gun shop did nothing wrong if that is the case.
I dont think my brain would have been fast enough to stop my mouth if I would have been there. Probably would have yelled 'I'll take it'.

Yes the seller is the one that said $600.00, I was just in shock when he said that, the buyer just said yes I'll take it. Buyer did nothing wrong, I felt bad because the guy did not know the value, and said he needed cash now. Beleive me I wanted to say WHAT!!!!.

              God Bless

Be interesting to see what he prices it at.

I wonder if its the same "gun store" that sold my arthritic MIL a semi auto pistol that she can't even rack the slide on. She went shopping for a .38 revolver and they steered her to the LCP. Gave her the line "This is what everyone's buying". She didn't know any better.

The owner would have had to ban me from his shop.

and another thing go back and try and buy that gun from the gun shop owner and that will reinforce this idea even more.

I would have offered him $625.
