Put him in a container with some fingernail polish remover on a cotton ball. Learned that from doing bug collections in jr high.

Well, I was trying to look him up and I did a google search for wolf spider. Many of the pictures they showed didn't really look like him, but he is on there listed as a wolf. I know it could be wrong on the Internet, but would like to know for sure. Do any of you guys know what it could be?
My neighbor said he has them on the edge of his pond. They make webs and catch minnows! He called it a water spider, but online searches show that is not correct.

Have a few of these southern house spiders around the outside of the house...they put a hurtin' on the bugs so we let 'em live. They're a little smaller than your typical tarantula but way more aggressive

Snakes are fine. Spiders....... I'm not very ashamed to say I would scream like a little girl but only cause I know plenty of guys on here would do exactly the same.

Could be a funnel web or a trapdoor.

I have to go burn my computer screen now. God I hate those things

X2 we used to catch and play with all kinds of spiders when I was a kid, especially the tarantulas. Also caught and played with snakes.
