The Targs were know for "in breading". Kept the bloodlines "pure". Which is why Cersie emulated them, thinking her and Jamie's offspring would eventually be bad asses like the Targs.
Seems to me, it mostly caused sociopathic insanity
Kept the bloodline pure and the madula oblongotta squeezed lol

It’s also what cause the “Targaryen madness”. Which Dany has started to lose her cool a bit so I’m curious if they’re starting to portray her as going mad over getting the iron throne.

Lmao at all the guesses....err...theories already popping up again..
All we can do is laugh, there's been some good ones! When this thing is over and if I have some time, I'm gonna go back and pull some of the greatest hits up.
I was disappointed in the episode and it didn't seem well thought out at all. First was the defense strategy, as others mentioned, they did everything wrong. You never send in your cavalry blindly and your artillery is always behind your main lines.
Second, there seems to be no standard for how the wrights reacted to obsidian and fire. In previous episodes, the wrights were destroyed when stabbed with dragon glass where as only the giant did so in this episode.
Third, what happened to Azor Ahai and Lightbringer?
Yeh.. and how does a mythological dragon fly with holes in its wings???
And the dead with no muscle structure on their legs walking in shoes when it's clearly boot weather..what's that about?!
Not even going to get into the ridiculousness that is the blondechick wearing white after labor day...
Show is SO unbelievable.

Yeah, the creators clearly have zero practical design knowledge: the thrust-to-weight ratio of those tiny dragon wings is terrible. I can't take fantasy shows seriously when mythical creatures are poorly thought out.
