There a bar called "The Library" down there. You're sure to find some trouble brewing around those parts. My sister in law went to school there. I have spent many fun nights out there visiting. The next day wasn't too fun though.

Take your lady to eat at Melt (most underrated place to eat in Lubbock) and then take her to La Diosa. La Diosa is a great place to kick back and listen to music while downing a glass or two of wine (also no smoking allowed). There are a couple of other "can't miss" places to eat. Las Brisas is a favorite of ours. Great steaks and the Mexican food is above average. If it weren't for Orlando's, the Mrs and I would starve. Try the Down and Dirty Tortellini and the Green Chili Chicken Linguine on Pene Pasta. UNBELIEVABLE.
As far as things to do, bad time of year unless you like to golf. Depending on when you will be here, I too will offer you a round of golf at Lakeridge CC. There is actually an outdoor bow range/course outside of Slaton. Pretty cool. Shots out to 80 yards.
For all of the Lubbock haters out there.........next time try not to let the fact that your team can't beat us in football cloud your judgement of our city.

Haha! I spent the first 18 years of my life in El Paso and moved away as soon as I graduated. And I moved to Lubbock. Been here 13 years and I'll probabaly die here. Its not the most exciting town but its a few hours to New Mexico skiing or a few hours to the MetroMess. With Tech being here, we have plenty of bars and clubs to keep you busy at night. Did I mention we're dry so that will be the only way to get a drink? The Llano winery is great but here's a hint, taste all the wine there and find your favorites. Then hit the strip on the way back into town and grab the bottles for $5.99 at any of the stores with the flashing lights.
OH yeah, don't go to the mall with the wife. With the warm weather coming on, the tiny little shorts are seen everywhere and its hard to not look again and again and again.Last edited by Squigey; 04-02-2008, 11:34 PM.

Thats exactly right, 4th & Q. Still to this day I have never seen as many beautiful women in one place as I used to see there. Sure brings back memories, and some that I can resurrect. Slide out of that place find me a Allsups burrito or head to Whataburger, then limp home to tech terrace.

I have lived in Lubbock for 25 of my 27 years, and let me tell you....it SUCKS!
But there are a few things to do....as mentioned above.. What cracks me up is the big push for the tourism thing here in Lubbock.. I am like why would anyone come to Lubbock for a vacation, that is unless they live in CS...lol

There is this unbelieveable tourist spot Northwest of town......MULESHOE!
It will take the bigger part of a day to see the whole place but try and work in a trip from there to Earth. Man what a place. Especially when those really cool sandstorms blow in and the streetlights have this red glow about them.

Something about that sentence just dont sound right.
Picture in my head is of some yellow aligator shirt wearing sissies sipping daquires then getting into a slap fight over another guy.
