From my experience when you get on a lease you have two options;
1. Shoot everything that moves. Then you have nothing to hunt.
2. Manage to grow bigger deer with feed, culling and age restrictions. The land owner sees your progress through kills or sightings and demands more money. You won't pay it , but the next guy will and destroys in one year what you spent five building.
When you lease you are at the mercy of the land owner whether he be tyrant, alcoholic, or greedy. In either case your blood, sweat, money and time went to improve a place that you will never own. I know that it is easier said than done , but save to buy your own place. I was recently blessed enough to do it and couldn't be happier, but if for some reason I was unable to do so I would have just layed off and saved until I could. I hope you find what your looking for

It's tough we are in the same boat last lease I was on we were there for 7 years but he sold march 1 and new owner doesn't want no hunting the best would be to do is drive to the area you want to hunt and knock on doors talk to the people in the area probably gonna be the best route. it's tough I'm looking for 3 spots if I find something needing more I will keep u mind don't give up there's still good ones out there just have to stay on top of it
