    Awesome finds Copperhead. Congratulations to you on the find of a lifetime. Finding something like that would be the hunting equivalent of shooting a 200" buck.

    By the way, what material are those made of? Doesn't look like a type of rock found in east Texas.

      Very nice, thanks for the extra pics. I have one just like it that came from Indiana. I think you're located at about the southwest corner of the same culture that made and used those adzes in Indiana and Ohio.

          I'm not real sure, my guess would be some kind of river stone. I think they were traded for from other tribes.

                what were those used for?
                I keep my eyes on the ground at all times(found a nice arrowhead while checking hydrants in town) but never would have thought to look for something like that. I will now for sure

                      Celts rare in East Texas? Nahh
                      Caddo celts were mounted on wood and used for defense or chopping down trees. They aren't as common as points but the aren't rare.
