    Just scored an indian celt!!!

    Decided to stop and walk a small field that produces a nice arrowhead from time to time. Was about to call it quits and head back for the truck and seen the base sticking barely out of the sand. When I wiggled it out of the sand I couldn't believe my eyes! I said a couple choice words and got the shakes! I am still looking hoping something else will show up. Thank you arrowhead gods! Here is a pic, can't wait to get it cleaned up!

        Scraping hides and many other things! The base of this one is ground from grinding and has pecking marks from being used as a hammer.

              I am so glad you found it and not me! I would have thought weird rock and probably thrown it in the lake.

              I do miss hunting arrowheads and pottery in the panhandle.

                            Here you go Steve...

                            The base is ground smooth as glass with hammer marks along the edge. This tool was well used!

                            Here is its little brother that was found within a few miles of the one I found today.

                            Nice pair!
