Hey the scope is... never mind!

That is a sweet stock. I think I/ yall have talked myself/ me into getting the hornet barrel. Thanks for the input. Any other info, input, insight will be appreciated!

The Hornet falls between the 22mag and a 222, closer to the 222. It can be an accurate little round. If you are looking for a cheap plinker, 22 Hornet isn't it.

The ammo is high and if you reload...

...I recommend getting rid of the cases after three or so reloads as it headspaces on the rim and gets thin. I like & shoot the K-Hornet version if you reload and I have a bunch of the Old WW680 powder that is perfect for the little case. It puts the headspace on the shoulder and can reload better.

It really depends on how much you are going to shoot it.

The hornet is one of the more accurate rounds out there and easy to reload but expensive if you buy them off the shelf. It is a great small cartridge

I'd get it just to play with it for a while and decide then what you like. I did the same thing and went back to a .22 mag for my small cartridge rifle. The rounds are just cheaper and it does what I want in a small cartridge. If I was gonna shoot hogs or predators at long distances I would choose the hornet. Just depends what you want to do with it. A man can't have too many guns.

Use to shoot one and it was a lot of fun. They can be finnicky.

Well, I decided not to get the .22 hornet. Got a heck of a deal on a .223 barrel. Figured I would keep the .22 mag for plinkin and use the .223 for hogs and bigger stuff. Plus ammo is alot cheaper. Thanks for the comments.
