Anybody Else Hunt Squirrels In Your Yard?

I hunted squirrels throughout my young life. I have many great recipes to share with my kids and family. I live in the suburbs, but have a tremendous squirrel sanctuary in my full acre back yard. I'm thinking air rifles and dumplings are in order. I jump at any chance to make my in-laws squirm!
P.S. I am not planning on violating game laws.

My dog does. I live in city limits so I can't shoot them. But I've got a dog door. My dog will sit right inside the door and I'll spot them through the window for him. I'll tell him go get the squirrel and the chase is on. It keeps me way more entertained than it should.

Unfortunately "squirrel" "air rifle" and "not violating any game laws" don't fit in the same paragraph. Squirrels are considered game animals and it is not legal to take game animals in Texas with an air rifle. Stupid law IMO since some of the higher powered air rifles are perfect for squirrel hunting.

I wouldn't call it "hunting",but the squirrel population is shrinking for sure in my neighborhood.

Get you a Small Game Broadhead from G5. game on.

Many of meals were found in the backyard during my days at Tech.

Still trying to get one with the recurve. Cant seem to dial my groupings down to squirrel size.

From personal experience I can say don't shoot them with a target point.

Judo points or nothing! Squirrels around here know what my bow is, get it out and they disappear.

There is no closed season in my county and I have plenty of them in the woods behind the house. The problem is, I have never cooked one and dont really know anything about cooking them.

Crack a window, set a small coffee can full of corn in front of a target, tag em with your bow and go get em! Take a pair of channel locks to head grab and finish em off if need be. Works like a champ!
