Is hunting over a feeder cheating??

No it isn't cheating any more than those folks in the midwest who hang tree stands on deer trails leading in and out of soybean and corn fields. They think they are holier than thou because they do it "better". Forget that. We have a great hunting heritage in Texas and if we kill them over corn then so be it.

I have hunted over feeders, huge corn or soybean fields, small patches of woods surrounded by crop fields, small food plots and I must feeders are easier to hunt. You pretty much take a 10 acre crop field or food plot and put it in a 55 gallon barrel that puts food out when you want it too. Don't get me wrong Im not against hunting feeders or think its cheating. As long as its legal where you hunt then its all fair game. In most area of TX its to dry to grow a food plot or that has much natural food source so a feeder not only gives a hunter a good place to hunt but also gives wildlife a great source of food year around. So Im all for them.

Gotta give em a fair chance. A timed feeder is cheating to me. I have done it plenty in the past. But u won't catch me over a feeder much more than a couple days out of the whole year.
You need to have a respect for there intelligence. I just ate it when people have deer at the feeder when they can just talk and hit the blind with here gun and stuff and the deer just look and know they are there but do nothing. To me I want a good fair hunt
