In VA, we called them breakfast burritos. Down here in San Antonio, I've never heard them referred to as breakfast burritos (except at McDonalds) - always breakfast tacos. I've never seen them advertised as burritos here either. Always tacos.

What is the difference? Do you fold the left corner first on a burrito, and the right corner first on a taco? Before I moved to TX, if it was folded and tucked on each end, it was a burrito. If it was just folded over, it was a soft taco.

No matter what they are called... I'm addicted. And it shows. Ha!

    All the best,
    Glenn

Dons? Do you mean Don's Specialty Meats in Scott LA, or some other Don's?

Please tell me you meant a Don's here in TX. If so... where please?!!!

Mima's is good. Used to eat it a lot when we got our feed at King. The Flores shack in Dripping is pretty good. Around the house we hit the JD's at 45/1826 and Torchy's.

To me a quality taco HAS to have a good hot sauce. You can cook the best taco with a great homemade tortilla but if your sauce sucks I wont eat there.

Not shabby but the bacon egg and cheese bisquit is the best there.

Hahaha "WE" are talking about tacos. That's what we call them. West Texas calls them burritos hahaha. Burritos are what you get from taco bell. When I go to sterling city to my folks I order tacos and they always say you mean burritos because our tacos have a hard shell lol.

I did not read this entire thread but the Shell/Texaco station in Vernon Texas makes some of the best breakfast burritos known to man.

Never had a good breakfast taco until I went to my wife's parents place in new braunfels. I like el napolito carne guisada and been and cheese. Granzines has a good taco too carne, papas and cheese. I'm hungry just thinking about it.

My favorite is from the valero in Rocksprings. The Spanish ladies in there will hook you up.

Burrito=anything in a flour tortilla and rolled up.

Taco=anything in a corn tortilla and rolled up.

And I think we have the name calling right half the population around here is straight from mexico and they all call them burritos. Never understood why east texas folks call them tacos.

It actually depends on the size of the tortilla and I believe rolled tacos are taquitos.
