My little girl is 2 1/2, and since she was 18 mo or so, our daddy/daughter dates consist of going to Academy to look around (she loves playing with the loose arrows, waving them around in the air, looking at camo, the owls and turkey decoys, even the pink guns!), Lowes to look at the plants and flowers and even just walk around the store, going to the zoo in nice weather, the park to swing and slide and play, going to Taco Bueno for burritos, getting ice cream, and she even sat and watched the movie Brave in the theater like a champ. She's pretty flexible if you're paying attention to her, and she feeds off my excitement of going to those places and spending time with her.

TAKE PICS AND VIDEO! Great advice here...so mommy can see what hijinks she's been up to and so she can watch herself on the camera. My daughter loves doing this!

Be careful going to pet stores if she's in the I want, I want, I want stage...

One of my favorite memories from when my girl was two was baking a cake together. Letting her do (almost) all the stirring. Frosting it was a trainwreck! man we had fun!

X2. If it were warmer, you could take her to a tank and catch some bluegills.

Oh heck yeah! You'll be her hero if you do this! My little girl looooooves camping, sleeping in a tent, and cooking over a fire hotdogs and marshmallows. Dad of the Year is never so easy to win as when they're little.

My daughter just turned three, she loves to dress up and then brush my hair. I have three, so I could go the rest of my life without McDonalds, but she loves it, and it's amazing how much fun they can have on the indoor playground. She loves to hit golf balls with me too, I have some small clubs I bought for my son when he was younger, but she says they are hers, the golf bag is yellow and apparently that is no longer a color for boys. Just enjoy it, I love all my kids but it's good when you get some time to be one on one.

Things to do with my 2 year old daughter?

Make tents in the house with sheets.

Tea parties! Have had tons of these. Blow it all out with her stuffed toys as guests and act like she is the guest of honor. Mine loves this.

Walk around outside and discover new bugs, flowers etc. amazing how everything is new and exciting for them.

                  Bounce balls in the house.

Go to the pet store but call it a zoo. Don't let her know you can buy them.

Squirt guns while taking a bath.

Go buy her some cowgirl boots and hat for dress up.

Many more. They get fired up with anything with daddy! Enjoy it.

we also did this for momma's birthday, it was a disaster and the cake was awful. Apparently there is a difference between vegetable oil and olive oil, who knew. But we had a blast.
