My wife is going out of town for 10 days and I get to spend all this time with my little girl. Shes almost 2 and I am needing some ideas on what to do. What can a father and 2 year old do to pass some time. I really dont want to stay home for 10 days. Im self employed and work in construction and feel shes just a little too young to take to work. Thanks for any help.

my 2 yo girl is sleeping right now. Home with her today. She is the perfect little girl right now. LOL
We have colored, watched Angelina Ballerina, chased the cat, rough housed, played with mega legos, poop and clean up, ( we are potty training) eaten lunch, crashed out.Last edited by Slingblade; 01-15-2013, 01:32 PM.

Little girls are awesome....I've had 4. Here's what you do....take her out. Ihop for pancakes. Go to a petting zoo. Find a place she can sit on a horse while you lead it around. Happy Meals for lunch. Cotton Candy for no reason at all. Walk the aisles at BassPro or Cabelas. Chuck E. Cheese for supper. Beef Jerky and Pork Rinds instead of Goldfish and Cheerios. Let her sleep on Mom's pillow while she's gone.
My wife is super-structured in the way she raises our girls, and she gets things done that way. I help enforce that structure each day, and it's great for our kids. I, however make it a point, when Mom is gone, to throw that structure out the window and fly by the seat of my pants. "Bedtime...Pffttt...whatever!" "Boots with shorts....AWESOME!!!!" "Why yes...Dad can do a ponytail....Sorta." "What does RedMan taste like, you ask?....well, here you go."
Little girls grow up WAY too fast, and I'd give anything for more days with my girls as babies. Being a daddy of girls is the best job I've ever had. Y'all have fun and post pics.

Unfortunately I cant take her to a Bass pro, cabelas, chuckys, zoo, or even an IHOP. I live way to far from most of these things. She will be able to have some happy meals though. I live near Brownwood and theres not a whole lot around here. I do plan on taking her coyote hunting with me for a few nights.
