Maybe PM Tuco or search for the photo trip they did this Summer or Fall. I think it was to Big Bend and it was awesome. I have never been but have looked online for info on Fredericksburg and also on the Riverwalk. Both look good.

And if Deb (on GS) still has the bed and Breakfast going that is a slice of her coconut pie in my avatar.

We did Messina Hauf Winery in College Station acouple of years back for a weekend trip, it's not very crowded in March and the B&B and restaurant are excellent. Plus, if you time it right it may be right around Bownaza.

I've heard there's a great bed and breakfast in Wimberly. That area is really nice.

I'm planning on......fingers crossed.....that bownaza will be a week or two before the wedding. I'd really hate to miss it....................the wedding that is.

If you go to Shiner, there isn't anything there but the brewery but if you end up staying the night, there is an excellent Bed & Breakfast there. I wish I could think of the name of it.

Ever heard Gringo Honeymooon by REK? Big Bend all the way. Stay a night or two at the Gage Hotel in Marathon.

X2. I grew up in hallettsville and that whole area is pretty boring as far as things to do.

Only other thing you could do is stay in the "haunted" hotel in schulenburg. I know a couple of people that did that as part of a thing like y'all are gonna do. I wouldn't necessarily recommend it though
