Need the help of the GS once again....

We'll be getting married at the end of March. And we've decided we're going to just stay around Texas for the honeymoon. Maybe take a week to week-and-a-half to just go around the state and see a few sights.

I need suggestions on where to go.

We've thought about Parde Island, Aransas, Fredricksburg, and a few others.

Any suggestions? Places to stay and things to do? Links are always a big plus and extremely helpful

    Thanks in advance!

    Ike

If you're going to be down Padre way , take her here .http://www.chachalaca.com/
I take my wife there a few times a year when we're down that way.

Alamo, Riverwalk and SeaWorld in San Antone. Fredericksburg is a nice town. Palo Duro Canyon is great. Stayed in the Goodnight cabin on the rim a couple years ago. Jogged the trail to the Lighthouse in time to get pictures of the sunrise.

Big Bend National Park, it's a shame majority of Texans have never been.

              Kermit!!

              What do you guys like?

Far west Texas. Go see the mountains. It's it's own kind of beautiful.

              Riverwalk.

Fredricksburg and the German food and micro breweries.

Go to little hill country towns and see the town squares. Sounds strange but a lot of them are really cool.

Lake amistad( good excuse to buy a boat!! )

There is a TON to do in Texas. Just depends on what ya like.

You could also go to ruidoso, nm. Beautiful mountains. Casinos. Elk and mule deer everywhere. Get a cabin in the mountains and do honeymoon things!! Lol!!

You could always do a cruise out of Galveston. Congrats on your wedding!

For our anniv we went to Missouri and rented a log cabin overlooking a lake. Very relaxing and private. Big Bend will be beautiful in March.

Do you guys like to fish? Head down to the bays and do a few fishing trips.

Congrats on the wedding! If you put Fredricksberg on the list, ensure you make a stop out to Enchanted rock to catch a sunset.

Man when I got married, we went to Colorado but we did what your wanting to do. Go to a hotel (any) get some brochures and just go. We had no destination and when we got tired we just got a hotel for the night woke up and kept going. We drove all over the state in a week. We absolutely loved it. Here in Texas? Austin would defitnately be on one of the routes.
