Yep, Loc-tite Super Glue Gel with the Control Tip applicator is great for inserts and vanes. Cheap too....can get it at Lowes, Home Depot, etc...

Use a 22 caliber brass barrel brush to clean the inside of the shaft, and then a q-tip with acetone to wipe out any dust and residue. Then all the above selections will work. I was told at an archery shop the regular epoxy that takes an hour + to dry is stronger than the 5 minute type. With that said, I've used the hot glue and a propane torch to heat the insert and they've not come out.

I use steel force, and you will have to destroy a arrow to get a insert out... no cleaning needed..

epoxy is supposidly heat resistant, but in order to heat it up enough to remove u have already damged the front of the shaft, it may not be noticable till it goes thru the back of your hand, goat tuffs great if u never wanna takeum back out

I will 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th etc the vote for Goat tuff! That stuff is incredible. Only world of advice, when you got to put an insert in, do it with haste. If not it will dry too quick and you will be stuck with an unremovable point half way into the shaft!

Gorilla glue polyurethane, foams up to bond 100%.

Really, ditch the plywood. ( unless its a saftey backstop)

Elmers paste. Doesn't work too good on arras, but i'm told by several 6 year olds that it tastes pretty good.

Go CHEAP! Walmart generic super glue (4 pack) for $.99. Look for the black and yellow package. Works well but needs setup time of an hour or so.

I guess they must be talking about whoever is shooting plastic arrows.
Hot melt and aluminum...and not hitting the plywood.
