    Better insert glue?

The inserts in my arrows keep falling out when they go through the target and hit the plywood. What kind of glue should I use to keep em in there?

epoxy...I use the 60 sec. but there are different kinds. It is a lot stronger than glue

Beyond Bond will hold them. Good stuff.

Also, be sure the inside of the shaft is clean before you glue. MEK or some other carcinogen usually works great.

Hitting the plywood? Get a Yellow Jacket target and quit tearing up your arrows!!! Two part epoxy works well.

                Two part epoxy
I agree....rough up the inside of the shaft with a stainless steel bore brush, rinse with water dry and epoxy.

I use the two part epoxy as well. Take a q-tip and wipe out the shaft with denatured alchol or acetone (after you rough it up if you chose to do so).

hot melt,,, holds them in great , and unlike epoxy , lets you take them out again if needed

I dont think any of that stuff will be any good if he is hitting a piece of plywood every shot. hot melt glue will fracture, and let the insert out, and epoxy will hold, and destroy the arrow. Alien, you are possibly creating some serious safety issues . I hope you are carefully checking every arrow before every shot to make sure your carbon is not starting to splinter down the shaft.

Epoxie can be heated out, too. I've done it with carbon shafts (that I have broken) and an electric stove.

                              If you are shooting aluminum:
I was told via Tradgang that aluminum oxidizes between the glue and the shaft wall, with epoxie and others. The guy said to use a cyanoacrylic glue, like Beyond Bond. He said that you will destroy the shaft/insert, etc. before the glue will turn loose. I got some cheaper ca glue from Wal-mart, but a testing over time hasn't been done, yet. I just recently glued these shafts/inserts up.
