    I agree with this.

It's my opinion that when people spend any amount of money on something, they really want it to work and so they tell themselves it does. (e.g. - Yeti coolers.)

Of course - each person has their own situation and I can see that it did/does provide some decompression. I think my back is just so jacked up (last 3 docs said I need a fusion, but to hold out as long as I can - I'm 37) that any small / short-lived benefit didn't out way the negatives like headache, stuffy head, and all-around awkwardness of hanging upside down (or even angled down).

I don't know about it working for fixing back issues, as I don't have any, but my mom has one and I love hanging on it every now and then.

Rather than retype, I'll just link this previous thread...

Suffice to say I'm a believer.

Inversion table costs about the same as a Doctor visit and a couple of refills of pain pills, however the table lasts much longer. I love it when you first climb out of it and your body feels like somebody lubricated all your joints and you can walk across the room with cracking or hurting.

Be careful and inspect these EVERY time you use them. I have a friend that is paralized from the neck down because his broke while he was upsidedown and spiked him into the floor causing spinal cord damage. Good luck but make sure you use them correctly.

              Inversion works

However, a Tempurpedic was the BEST purchase I've ever made. Since I purchased it, my back problems have significantly reduced. They are still there, but not nearly as bad (keeping me in bed all day). It takes a little getting used to.....you know..........you know... but once you get the hand of it.....wel....you know....

It wouldn't be something I would be cool with, I get a headache when under the hood of a car. Not to mention completely upside down

I got one at academy for $100 easily the best investment ive made in my personal health. IMPORTANT REMINDER: theres no need to go all the way upside down, especially not right at first, that can actually cause injury. a 30 degree incline for 10 minutes will do wonders!!!!

This is a miss-conception of an inversion table. Most folks never get completely upside down, no need to.

Most folks, especially beginners find that 20 to 30 degrees is all it takes for muscles and joints begin to experience mild stretching with improved circulation. 90 degrees (full inversion) is not required to get the decompressive benefits.

I know three different people that were told the only way to “fix” their back problems were to go under the knife. All three “tried” inversion to avoid surgery and all three were successful. Two of them have been using the tables for over seven years and have not had to seek medical intervention for back problems since. The third has had similar results over the last two years.

In my experience, most back issues result from two problems; muscles and pinched nerves. Inversion, again from my experience, improves blood flow and helps decompress the spine. This helps with both issues. Rather or not the table will help any individual’s problem can only be proven after trying it. Personally, I will do just about anything to avoid back surgery.

I tried it out and my ears kept stopping up and almost blacked out. Can't even imagine what would happen now with my vertigo. My mom loves it.

I bought one several years ago because of a bulging disc. My boss at the time recommended it because i was in the car driving 4-5 hours a day. After hanging twice a day for about a week at probably 30% incline, all I can say is that it was miraculous. I disagree that if you spend the money you "want it to work". I figure if spent a hundred bucks (Academy at the time) and it didn't work, I would have spent that much on advil in a month. Its still in the garage and if I have a flare up, I crawl on for a week and pain is gone.

I love mine! I've had a bulging thoracic disc for almost 10 years. I still work EMS and lift heavy a couple times a week. My table is only used when I feel the need, maybe once a week.

I've been on the fence about buying I e for months. Finally broke down and bought one from Costco yesterday. Spent $239 on it. Took it home and out it together. Got on it- flipped upside down and hated it. Didn't helo my back (actually made it feel worse ( and I couldn't stand the blood rushing to my head and sinuses getting stuffy.

Told the wife we were taking it apart and taking it back. We did just that.
Go slow bro! Start off slow and not inverted for the first couple times. You will fill better it worked for me. Also use some heat on your back before you get on it.
