My vote goes with the 2-7 Leupold too, but the old Weaver K-3 or K-4with a post and crosshair reticle is mighty good too.

Mine wears a 2-7x Nikon Prostaff. If I was buying another right now, I'd have to consider a 2-7x Redfield (made by Leupold).

A fixed 4 or 2x7 are good...I prefer a 1.5X5...Leupold or Burris....I guess a Marlin?
