Absolutely well said! Some people just always have to gripe about something.

But.. But.. We're brothers. You should give me a really great deal well below market price because we are on the same website and we bow hunt.

I agree but only to a point. The thing that I have a problem with is when I see the small mom and pops type stores price gouging. I understand that they are in business to make a buck and I understand that is capitalism but please hear my opinion. I make it a point to buy from small locally owned shops every chance I get and 100% of the time the price is higher than I can find the products online or wit national big box stores. I still buy from them because in most instances I have a relationship with them, want to see them be successful, and have seen way to many of them go out of business...so I do business with them in an effort to buy/support local. The whole supply/demand driving price, capitalism argument would dictate that I buy the product wherever I find it cheapest but I, and many others I know go out of my way to help local retailers out. When they turn around and mark items way up it seems like a slap in customers faces.

I don't know if that makes sense but it is my take on the topic.

It dont make sence. If you support much higher prices weather its a major or mom and pop, you are supporting what your against.

Ill pay more at local, as long as i think it is within its value...i wont overpay on a non nessesary item like guns or ammo.

I would rather pay more at a mom and pop that go to academy.

I agree with the op on a cash price, but it does get annoying seeing all the trade threads that the poster never bites. It's their choice, but thread after thread, just sell it already

People here have always talked about how they were raised, well now you see just how that was. It's ok to make money but, we have all helped when people needed it, we have even given stuff away.

Most in support of the OP's post have been the ones to preach how people are treated on certian issues. If you notice if it is a well "threaded" member most will go along.

I rememeber once when a young member had a rifle for sale, he was asking way to little. He agreed to a sale, then found out the real value. The member who was not getting the rifle made a big deal and the young man honored the deal, this wrong but hey people have to live with themselves. The young member is still here and a big part of the site.

Think folks, talking out of both sides of your mouth doesn't mean much!

I did that on here with a rifle. I didn't know what I had years ago.
But at the same time folks will remember a man of his word and I have never had a single complaint on an item I sold.

I agree the prices are crazy. I just go on to the next. But I do laugh at most of the prices and laugh even harder they actually sell for that much!!

I guess I didn't get my point across clearly because you totally missed it so others probably did too. The local shops higher initial prices are not "gouging" since their overhead is higher much of the time and much of the time they dont get as good of a price from the manufactures since the quantities they buy are much lower BUT when they increase their price 75% or more overnight I do consider that gouging.

And although they are important to me hunting and fishing equipment is not a necessity.

I agree, and if someone is dumb enough to pay those inflated prices because they think the sky is falling that is their own stupidity

Trophy 8 I didn't want to use your name, I am glad your still here. It bothered me enough to remeber, we shouldn't take advanage of young people. I will never forget your statement " let me talk to my dad" you should have never been put in that situation.

Anyway making money is one thing, some of the comments make me think we are not all we seem to be!
