Pressure is a hard thing for some. I don't like the way the ended the year either but I just hope he proves everyone wrong.
the gave up part is what everyone is upset about

Yea I know that is why everyone is upset with him. I just like messing with them about Josh. I think when his head is right he is a special player but not really worth 125 mil. But in my book there is not a player on the planet worth that kind of money.

We would have had to pay the same to keep him and hope for 2-3 years of high grade production. I'm not saying that it wouldn't have been worth it, but it might have been the kind of albatross contract that the Red Sox just dumped with Carl Crawford, or like the one the Yankee's are stuck with on A-Fraud. 5 years with Josh, considering his age, health and other issues would be dicey. It's time to blow Arizona's socks off with something for Justin Upton, now.

Now is the worst time to try to get Upton. They're going to know the Rangers are desperate.

The Rangers better be desperate...we're losing the arms race!

That is ridiculous. The last thing I want is for the rangers to make some stupid overreacting move. They have the best farm system in mlb. Don't blow it up and overpay for something. I would not have a problem with them giving a 2 year deal to aj to catch and maybe a 3 year deal for laroche to play first. Then you can see what kind of deal you can get for any combo of kinsler, Cruz, olt, and Perez

No left handed bat in the heart of the order is gonna hurt. There are a handful of guys his caliber in the league and they aren't readily available.
Got to know when to cut ties, Jerry Jones could take a few lessons from JD.

They will not over react, that is why they have done nothing in the off season so far, they have a plan and are sticking to it.

This is an old thread but I figured I'd share this interview on here rather than creating a new one. I personally can't stand the guy after his lack of effort and sorry excuse of how he handled his departure but what does the GS think of the interview?
