Never heard this one from a deer!

Maybe y'all have heard it before but I never have.

On several occasions I have seen/heard bucks and doe making a hissing noise. I've heard them making the normal grunts, snort wheeze and all of that but I have never heard this before. It almost sounds like the sound a ****** off cat makes. You can see their lips part and they show their teeth when they make it!

Anybody else ever seen/heard this before?

I figured I would get a couple of people questioning me and what I'm doing in the stand!

Fact is, we are over loaded with doe and it's nothing to have 10+ deer within 30 yards of my pop up. I've tried to get it with my video camera but haven't been able to catch one doing it while I'm recording.

I'll keep ya in mind!
If we could talk the land owner into letting us whack about 20 extra doe I could probably make several people happy, including our group! When you can go sit at 3-4 different stands and each person see 10+ doe, on 1200 acres, you definantly have a problem!

Got bored one year and camoed "way" up and sat on the ground under a tree 25 yards from a feeder. Had 30 deer all around me for a few hours.

I heard ALL kinds of noise I've never heard before. I was surprised how much they farted.

I had a doe just feet from me. It was a RUSH.

Its definitely a rush to be that close to them!

As far as the farting part, I thought it was me farting but you cleared me on that one!

Its Really nothing like the wheeze part of a snort wheeze. It's more of a ****** off noise than anything. They do it when another deer is in their "space". They almost have that ****** off look to them when they do it.

Ok, I guess I might actually be the only person that has heard this noise!
I promise I wasn't smoking anything when I heard these noises. I might have had a beer or two but thats it!

I had a doe "hiss" at a younger doe under the feeder earlier this year. The younger one took heed and made way.

hang in there fling em. I've heard some weird noises often coming from deer too. Once saw a deer pick up a rock and start chewing on it. Sounded like her teeth were going to break.. If I've seen a doe eat rocks I can dang sure believe an angry one can hiss.
