On my place most of the deer tend to stage waiting for the feeder to spin and then all come in together, a few stragglers may come in later. So if one blows they all leave. Occasionally one or two will wander back in later but for the most part its over.
I have an additional theory about this. Once they all blow out sometimes I will see others try to come in. I see them come into view, stare for a bit and turn around and wander off. I am sure these are deer who usually arrive late and join the bunch already there feeding but when they arrive and nobody's there they know something is up and leave.
