Please wear gloves when skinning, they carrie rabies and other nasties.

On eating: I have seen some tasty looking hams, but I wouldnt touch them.
Killed a blonde that was dry and fat eating grasshoppers. She had some hams that looked good. Had to remind myself that this was a coyote.

Now, bobcats, that is another story...... They eat well....

I have ate coons, badgers, bobcat, puma, porcupine, etc. Will not eat coyote....

I've thrown the ones I killed but I think hanging them on a fence is cool. Onetime saw 20 or so fence posts in a row with yotes on em

Shoot em, Photo em, (if the hide is worth it) skin em, (if the skull is worth it) take the skull, hunt other coyotes off their dead bodies.

There is a fur market in Canada. Just do a search on google. I'd tell ya more but it has been a long time since I've sold hides so I have forgotten quite a bit.

I've had some of the nicer hides tanned and the rest just lay.

Like has been said before, if it's cold enough the pelt is worth selling. Don't know if TX has a bounty on them or not, some states do. Have never eaten one, but being as how they're realted to dogs they should be good, just make sure you cook them well. Yes, I've eaten dog. Lived in the far east for 17 years so have eaten a lot of things most folks wouldn't consider. Sometimes you're not sure what your getting at the local street vender. They are rather good. Not that I'd eat one of mine. HEB's right down the road and has plenty of alternatives.

Do a quick search to see if there are any fur buyers near you.

Thanks again for the input......I dont think I will feel so bad leaving them from now on!! I would like a couple good hides on the wall of the garage, and a few skulls in the yard, but other than that Im mainly in it to get the deer population back on track!!!
