I think I went a solid week. When in I was in college after finals I would spend 10 days or so at the deer lease, back in the good old days when corn was $3.50 a bag, gas was $1.10 a gallon, and I didn't have a care in the world. You know you've been at the deer lease too long when the other hunters make two different trips down there and you haven't even left.Last edited by Tx.Fisher; 12-10-2012, 09:21 AM.

January 2009 my spotter and I were in a hide watching a guy dig a hole in the road in a known IED area. Out of nowhere, he stopped, looked up, threw his shovel and ran. He was picked up by the QRF staged around the corner, and under interrogation, he said he quit digging because he could smell Americans in the mountains.Originally posted by Froggy View PostAbout 45 days while hunting NVA when Nixon sent us into Cambodia to find the caches of weapons. Our fatigues were literally rotting off our bodies. No baby wipes back then. We could definitely smell them and I'm certain they could smell us.

32 days in Iraq 20 years ago. We would leave early in the am to recon new gun positions and get in after the burners were turned off on the showers. I took one shower at night, on the hill without the burners on, 32 days later was my next one. And I can verify, BDUs can stand up by themselves!
