    Need exception to AR rules...

How about this as a reason TP&W should offer an "exception to AR rules" tag?

    I'd buy one.

I have one that needs to go also! He's great on one side and nothing than a short beam and tiny lil stubs on the other side!

What did this deer look like last year? What do you think he will look like next year?

First year on the new lease, no idea what he looked like last year, but with plenty of water on the place and ag fields all around, no reason for a healthy 2.5yr old to have a rack like that.

That deer is only 1.5 IMO.

Solid body/shoulders, full brisket, bit of a belly, narrow nose, I was thinking 2.5?

Am I looking at him wrong?

And if those two nubs on the right beam are not 1" long, does it count as a branched beam?

IMO that deer is very young. Less than 2.5. And without knowing a history on him, and not having him within a high fence enclosure, killing this deer will do nothing to improve anything other making one less mouth to eat the habitat.

You need to take Sippys Deer Aging 101 course.

I would go with 2.5 on age.

Agreed, no way that deer is 1.5

I dont think an exception or change to AR rules would help you even if that deer was close to being a shootable age by some peoples standards....
You are in need of a hunting hours exception or change- or you need to move to E.Texas if you plan on hunting that deer.

He could turn into a cool double main beam buck.

Even if they had those tags I doubt they would issue one for that deer. He is exactly what they are trying to protect.
