New rifle for average shooter. Win, Rem, Ruger, ???

I've the new rifle bug and I'm just an average shooter. But I want a reliable bolt action that is fairly accurate. I'm talking 300 yards or less for varmint up to deer.
Caliber will be later just looking for "the" gun...

Look at Howa or Browning both are great shooters. Savage produces some great shooting rifles also just not as purdy.

What kind of price range for the gun? And for the glass?

I would say shoot a lot of different ones, like you would bows. But that might not work . Do get one that fits your length of pull.

Look at Savage 110...I have an FPC in .308 that is a tack driver out of the box.

I would say all three you named would be good. Don't forget about the tikka t3 it's a good reasonably priced rifle. Now the question is do you want composite or wood stock and stainless or blued barrel. I would go to a gun shop and pick up each one and see what you think.

Weatherby vanguard will most likely be my next rifle purchase. I havent shot the tikka or the howa but i own the rest and think the vanguard is the best bang for my buck.

Look at the Savage. Many people over look them. very accurate out of the box. Love my weatherwarrior in 300 wsm

Why spend $800 to be avg? Stick with your bow it seemed to work well at H

For varmint and deer, I would suggest a Remington Sendero chambered in a 25-06. Top it off with a Zeiss Conquest or a Leupold 4x16 and you will have yourself a great rifle.
