I came across these at the Eastern Sports Show in Harrisburg, PA a couple of years ago and have used them every since. They are unbelievably bright and affordable.
The Jetbeam BC40 is the cheapest, best and brightest flashlight I have ever used.
I have had mine for a year and a half now and constantly try to convince people to buy one over sure fire and stream light. Hands down the best flashlight for the money
I'm always leary about buying the cheaper lights. They may be bright but the switches don't last. No switch, no light. Stream light for me. Never had a switch go out and they are pretty bright and the charge lasts a loooong time.
There are piles of upgrades for the old Surefire P6 and G2. Often that route is much less expensive and you end up with a better light.
Google "P60 drop in" Solarforce makes great affordable P60 drop ins.
Upgrading to Li-Ion batteries will save you major bucks over Cr123s. Good Li-Ions can be recharged 500x and their charge can drive the light as long or longer than CR123s. My preferred Li-Ion batteries are the AW Power Protected cells. Ultrafire's are cheaper but their capacities are overstated and they are not safe for multi-cell lights. I only use the Ultrafire's in single cell lights.

I know people dont listen. Once you compare them to other lights they just dont flat compare to anything else. I had a friend holding a Stream light stinger in one hand and my Jetbeam in the other. Streamlight was putting out about as much light as a candle compared to the other.
