I just bought a twin pack at Sam's club for $20. Rocky brand (never heard of them) 200 lumen single led lights with a low/high/strobe feature, compact - about 6 inches long. Very impressed with brightness. Super price.

My brother bought some, and I told him they were going to be junk. We compared them this weekend to my Surefire and there was no comparison. . . . his blew mine away and I paid about $90 for my one flashlight. Mine might last longer and take being dropped better, but for $10 a flash light, those Rocky's at Sam's are pretty awesome.
You beat me to it! I agree that these are a STEAL for the price.

If anyone see's something they want from NEBO let me know and I'll hook you up. I get wholesale pricing thru my office.

Things I look for in a flashlight.

            1. Aluminum housing
            2. Lumen rating
            3. battery type
            4 Run time
            5. Focusable beam
            6. Water proof

I'm not a fan of these super bright(200+ lumen) lights that run for 45 mins on 1 or 2 CR123 batteries. I like one that runs for 6+ hrs on AA or AAA batteries. 90-110 lumens is plenty for me.

I am a fan of the Coleman line commonly found at Walmart and the Nebo brand of lights that are available at most any sporting goods store.

CR123 batteries aren't the easiest to find(I live in small town USA) and aren't cheap when you go through 2-4 a weekend at the lease. Yes, you can stock up on Surefire batteries but why? I can get AA and AAA batteries at any convience store if need be.

My flashlights aren't the toughest, the brightest or the fanciest....but they work for me and I have serveral for the price of one expensive one.

Anybody had any experience with the Cree flashlights from Hong Cong. I see them on Ebay for cheap prices. They have a rechargeable one that is 1600lm. Sounds like a really bright light.

I have a Surefire and wouldn't buy another one due to the short battery life and the expense of the batteries. Several times I have had to change batteries on the way from the truck to the blind and there is no warning that they are going to go out, just boom....no light. And the batteries are as high as $5.00 for TWO batteries.

Streamlight polytac is my weapon of choice. Runs anywhere from $45 to $55. I haven't see one brighter in that price range.

i have the streamlight protac that is 600 lumens and is around 70-80 its a spot light in your hand i used to carry a spot light on the boat to navigate the river in the mornings to duck hunt now i just take this. i aslo have a mount for it on my ar and have killed pigs at 150 plus yards. its a beast but it does take the expensive 123a batteries. it has 3 settings a high strobe and low. the strobe is crazy and will disorient you. i can use the strobe to walk up to a rabbit and almost grab it.

I have this one and it is crazy bright. It is amazing. It has rechargable batterys. These are larger batteries than a normal double a. But the guys who have hunted with me this year can attest to the beam. It has 3 independt Led that produce 3000 lumes out of a small flashlight. Thats correct, i said 3000lumens. The price is crazy for this flash light......

I like the stream light... But if you want something with regular batteries. Pelican is my favorite. For an awesome light for to and from stand. Plus tracking look at the laser torch www.lasertorch.net web site....by far the best I have seen or use.
